Developing Skills Across Multiple Platforms

Mason Prep's technology curriculum develops skills across multiple platforms, with an emphasis on those tools used for researching, organizing, and presenting ideas. Students are exposed to both iOS and ChromeOS operating systems as they advance through their grades.

Our Resources

  • 1:1 Program (for Grades 3-8)

    Provides each student with their own device for use throughout the year in all classes - 3rd Graders have their own iPads and 4th-8th Graders have their own Chromebook laptops

  • K-2 Resources

    K-2 students have access to class sets of iPads

  • IP-Based Intercom/Sound Systems and 70" Interactive Displays

    Classrooms are equipped with IP-based intercom/sound systems and 70" interactive displays to enhance instruction and meet the needs of various modern learning styles

  • Self-Service Printing Stations

    Students have access to multiple self-service printing and copying stations throughout the school

  • Video Broadcast Studio

    KNI-TV is Mason Prep’s dedicated broadcast studio bringing student-led morning programs live to the entire school

Mason Prep is a school of readers, and a love of reading is something Mason Prep works very hard to develop in our students.

Media Center

For kindergarten through fifth grades, each homeroom visits the Media Center once per week to learn media literacy skills. The upper school students, faculty, and others may come to the Media Center throughout the day for individual checkouts, Accelerated Reader program quizzes, and research.

The Media Center houses a vast collection books as well as a variety of databases, periodicals, and non-printed resources. Students and faculty can access the library catalog from anywhere in the school for research. Other activities such as the in-school television program (KNI-TV), authors' visits, and the Accelerated Reader Program are sponsored by the Media Center.
